On Fridays, our department ("Research & Development") usually play futsal against another departments (as "Technologies"). After each match, we made a list of injured players. Last Friday, I was in that list. I sprained my ankle (prevent ankle from moving during 7-10 days) Thanks to Carlos Iglesias that gave me a flower as a present ("Ponte güeno" in Spanish means "Get Well")

From Marcos León, "La Nueva España" Today Vinton G. Cerf , the father of internet, visited our work place in CTIC Foundation . The photographers took some photos and we are now in the f ront page of La Nueva España newspaper . Do you know the guy wearing a green sweater? ;-)

Fruit shop (tomatoes, bananas, green pepper...) Berrueta brought to the department some special tomatoes from Deusto (Bilbao). It was a good chance to show the fruit shop that we have in our department :-) Diego eating Deusto's tomatoes

Yesterday, I went to Creatic for a work meeting. During the lunch time, Carlos and me were visiting the exhibition Nowhere/Now/Here . And we started to play with Toypography . That was the result... Are we geeks?

Plaza de España, Seville This week, I have done my first "business" trip. I went to Seville with my work mate Diego Berrueta , in order to attend a Vulcano meeting . We took AVE(Alta Velocidad Española) train from Madrid to Seville (only 2hours and 30 minutes), and it was my first experience on it. Sooooo fast! (Diego's GPS said 270km/h). Wiidra is a game that uses part of the Wii hardware in order to simulate maybe the most popular Asturian traditions: "Escanciar", the way we pour the cider, our typical drink. Wiidra has been developed by Fundacion CTIC , aka, the company that I am working to. Since 15th October, I am working in CTIC Foundation (Center for the Development of Information and Communication Technologies in Asturias), a non-profit private organization, constituted by a group of firms from the Information and Communication Technologies field, and the Government of the Principality of Asturias. Research, Development and Innovation Area (R&D and Innovation) in semantic web will be my domain and I will start in " Vulcano Proyect ".
