Where can I check the day we are living in a city?

Since this week, Google Street View is available in Oviedo.
One question came to my mind: When Google took the photos? It looks easy, but I haven't found the complete answer yet.
For example, I can know exact hour and minute (more or less), looking one of the several clocks (train station, some corners)

But where can I check the day we are living in a city? It's an open question...

Wow!... good challenge, hehe!!

Mmmm...

Maybe you can find it in one of these public clocks (over all the ones you can find in pharmacies) that might show the time, the temperature and (only a few ones, I know) the date! (day and month... if you wanna found out the year too... I don´t have a clue about that)

Maybe you can try to narrow a little bit your search by looking to the films the cinemas were exhibiting by then...

I will keep thinking too!! :D Good pastime.

Thanks for your suggestions. Laura, nice point of view, but what happen if there is a "bank holiday"?
Hector, we have tought the same ... in fact, there is one poster of "Che, el argentino" and we tried the pharmacy clocks but ... nothing.

In LNE could be the solution... but I think google erased the newspapers to protect their data...
