Have you ever heard about surströmming? Surströmming ("soured (Baltic) herring") is a northern Swedish delicacy consisting of fermented Baltic herring. When Manu, Nestor and me went to Skellefteå , in order to visit Lisa, her family offer us Surströmming. They showed us the way to eat properly this typical Swedish dish Ingredients: Tunnbröd (thin bread) Mandelpotatis (almond potatoes) Smör(butter) Lök(onion) Surströmming(soured herring) 1. Open the can 2. Peeling the boiled potatoes 3. Spread butter over Tunnbröd 4. Smash the potatoes and put it over the butter 5. Cut Surströmming in small pieces and add them 6. Cut onion in small pieces and add them 7. Eat!

In Spain it is not mandatory to use of daytime running lights (DRL) . After my Swedish and Latvian experience (places where is compulsory to use DRL), I am a strong supporter of DRL. Today, I will talk about the radio stations that I have listen in Sweden and Latvia In Sweden, I get used to listen: RixFM Lugna Favoriter NRJ In Latvia, I use to listen: European Hit Radio StarFM My personal choice is Rix FM and Star FM . I become addict of RixFM but when I arrived here, I had to change ... until yesterday. I had listened a jingle quite similar to RixFM in some places in Latvia so I was confused. Yesterday, during a walk around the city, I found the car of the photo with the same logo style!!! After surfing on the net, I can say: StarFM is the RixFM of the Baltic countries . What is St. Lucia ? It is a traditional celebration in Sweden. Saint Lucia is honoured annually on 13th December ( One of the shortest days of winter ). The total darkness of the Lucia early morning is broken by the glow of the Lucia figure dressed in a flowing gown of white and afire with a wreath of candles upon her head (Lucia means "light", with the same Latin root, lux ,). Sankta Lucia, as she is known in Swedish, is a creature of goodness and light. She is a shining angel illuminating the way to the Christmas season. Who is St. Lucia ? Saint Lucia was an Italian christian who lived in Sicily in the 4th century. As final torture, her eyes were gouged out. She was miraculously still able to see without her eyes. To this day we see pictures of St. Lucy holding her eyes on a golden plate. She is the patron saint of blindness. How Sweden celebrate St. Lucia?
